The first week of Christmas break Allison and Family came for a visit. We left all the kids with Dick & Jeri and the grown-ups went out to eat. When we came back, it was arts and crafts galore. They made boats out of soda boxes, soda cans, water bottles, soda bottles and of course massive amounts of duct tape. Then the next day they brought them over for a boat race.
Tyler might be cheating in this picture.
After the race, they decided to see who's boat would float the longest.
Due to the wind, all the boats ended up in the corner.
In the end, none of the boats ever sank.

We came over Thanksgiving. I love this post! The pictures are so great. I love how excited Jack is in almost every picture. What's with Mia's pouty face at the end?
My planned colored paper Christmas tree arts and craft activity turned into the fantastic cardboard boat creations! I think I had as much fun as all the kids did. And being done at our house, we certainly weren't short of any empty soda cans!!
This kind of thing makes me want so badly to live nearer to my family. I love to see all those cousins so anxiously engaged!
